    Quality work surface

I'm very satisfied with mine. I've put dog holes in it, and I could easily mount front and end vises when/if I get around to re-doing the original legs. I highly recommend this.

    Solid laminated birch planks

I purchased this recently on sale at Woodcraft then immediately took it to a friend to CNC dog holes like a MFT has. I've started to build and assemble the mobile workbench I am making from it. I added a rabbeted skirt that I made from big box store cedar 2x6's. While I haven't yet finished/used the benchtop, I can tell that it is flat and is made from a nice quality European Birch wood. In my opinion, it was worth the time savings of milling, glueing, and planing a bunch of softwood planks and making my own, not to mention the usual abundance of knots found in these woods.
