    really convenient

normally use Shapton waterstones but bought these for carving tools b/c of the risk of gouging the waterstones. They are usually right on my bench and easy to use, no flattening required.

Finally have sharpening stones large enough to use without running off the sides and long enough to get a good stroke. These take down the metal in record time. Far better than the oil stones. Work best if you use a water lube.

Can't wait to buy more of these

Great sharpening stones, effortless to use. Easy to clean. All other types of sharpening stones will stay on the shelf. These new ones will stay on the bench.
