Laguna F2 First Week of Use

I replaced an old Craftsman contractor saw so there is a lot to like. This seems very well built. I immediately replaced the blade as the one it came with did not cut well. The built in dust collection is a great idea but it does not work well. I get a lot of dust coming off the blade onto the table top. I think maybe the zero clearance system does not allow for much suction. I had a DIY system on my contractor saw and it did much much better with the same vacuum system. It's takes a little work to add a fence to the miter gauge. The safety configuration requires some trimming of the fence to get close to the blade and to avoid a screw on the face guard. If you add a fence, you can't use the onboard miter gauge holder.

      Laguna Fusion 2 Tablesaw

The Laguna Fusion 2 table saw is an awesome machine. Very accurate and a joy to use. I was hesitant to buy this saw because of the European style fence. I find the fence features to be an asset and I would recommend the fence to others. My saw was damaged in shipment and was not useable. Saws are backordered with delivery months away. I contacted Woodcraft of Tucson where I purchased the saw and they immediately referred my issue to Laguna in Grand Prairie Texas. Laguna contacted me within two days and said they had a new saw in Dallas for me - available immediately. I got the saw and as stated above - AWSOME. Great service from Laguna, Woodcraft and a very happy customer.

Excellent Mid-Sized Tablesaw with Innovative Features

Day to day working on the Fusion F2 has been quite pleasant. The 1-3/4 h.p. motor is very strong, and I have no regrets selecting the F2 variant. The high-low fence is an interesting design, and I've come to really like it. You can drop the fence flat to give yourself more room to use a push paddle. Or have the fence in the standard upright position. Retract the sliding fence for through cuts using the miter gauge. Very handy setup using this versatile fence system. Power is more than adequate, and it operates on standard 120v household voltage. The wheel kit is standard on the F2, and makes it super easy to move around the shop. You'll need to make your own outfeed table, but that's true with most saws. Overall a great 5 star tablesaw that has elevated the quality of my work. Highly recommend the Fusion F2.

      LAGUNA - 1-3/4HP 1PH 110V FUSION F2 TABLE SAW"

Upon receipt of the saw and watching what videos' I could find on the set up and unboxing it really was easy. I had one cast iron wings that needed leveled to the main table but this went real quick. The fence front and back rests were set with a dial indicator to the main table surface within .002" As you would expect the miter gauge went in the trash as it was of the same quality as any other supplied on any tool that I had ever bought. The T-Slots were machined parallel to each other and the same size the whole length. Great machine

Best table saw I have ever owned

I purchased this saw after going through two job site type table saws in 2 years. This is my first real or substantial table saw. I did spend some time researching and looking at various saws and always came back to the Laguna F2. My decision was heavily influenced by the fact that I own a Laguna lathe and it is exceptionally smooth. So, naturally I figured the F2 would be of the same exceptional quality and I am not disappointed. The saw came 90% assembled and true. The only negative comment I will offer is the instructions were pretty vague but I found a YouTube video that was very detailed and walked me through the setup I needed to complete. My overall experience so far has been 100 percent satisfaction. The table saw is super smooth, vibration is not noticeable. For example, I cut a lot of pen blanks and the scrap piece of approximately 1/8" was standing on its edge with the saw running. One feature that I totally love is the adaptability of the fence. While cutting pen blanks, I flip the fence to use the shorter edge and it works flawlessly. I really like this feature as I can use it to adapt to whatever project I am working on. Dust collection imo is awesome. I am unable to use the top dust collection attachment on smaller cuts but in my estimate about 90 percent of the dust is still pulled through the cabinet and into my dust collection system. I know other brand saws have some safety features that others like, but I totally believe this saw was the right decision for me and will last me a lifetime. I have zero regrets and quite honestly, Laguna will be my first choice for all my new tool purchase in the future based on my experience with the Fusion F2 and my lathe.  I would have given more than 5 stars if possible.

      Good saw for the price

I purchased the Fusion F2 on July 6th in store and received it on September 17th. It was a hard decision due to the lack of reviews and info out there, however those I did find were mostly about Laguna’s customer service, long lead times, and the only negative reviews about the saw itself was the dust collection or lack there of. Reading through various blogs out there it seemed pretty uniform that Laguna had corrected this in the new launch for the 2020 “Gen 2” version/models of Fusion table saw lineup. Assembly: Finally getting the table saw home and after two other buddies helping get it out of my truck (approx. 320lbs including the crate) it was here. Once it was in the shop I disassembled the crate and the set up took a little under an hour to get the rails/fence/blade square, straight and flush. The cast iron wings already came attached and for the most part flush with the the main table which was nice. Quality: Surprisingly the saw is very well built and the quality is good. The only issue i found so far is the fence does not slide/glide as easily as it should for the price of this saw in my opinion. With that being said the fence may not seem to be square to the blade when moving/adjusting but once it’s locked in place it does square with the blade/miter slots within a minimal margin of error (.002-.004) which I’m pleased with. The thickness of the steel cabinet itself is on the thinner side but I feel is within reason given the price. The included miter gauge is awful and should be replaced or just not be included at all. It seems as though it’s made out of cast aluminium or something similar. Making the first cut: Once everything was assembled and the overarm dust collection was installed the first cut was made on some 4/4 oak. And all in all I was impressed. I could probably do a little more adjusting, but I was able to get the margin of error within about .002-.004. The dust collection issue seemed to be resolved and did a very good job. The vibration is minimal which could be because of the cabinet mounted trunnions. The blade height and angle adjustments are exceptionally well engineered and move with ease. Would I purchase again?: Yes I would. Despite the long lead time which could have been because of an abundance of demand and not enough supply or placing the order in the height of COVID-19, I’m very happy with this saw and it’s performance. What would I tell a potential buyer?: Do your research on the F2’s specs. the saw did appear to be a little on the shorter side to me coming in at just under 35” and the distance from the front of the table to the front of the blade seemed to be closer (little over 8”) than previous saws I’ve owned. Overall it’s a good saw for the price point but, you have to have realistic expectations, meaning this $1,500 1.75hp saw is not going to have the performance comparable to that of a $5,000 3hp cabinet saw.
