      Good for shorts

This jointer is good for squaring up short lumber. The aluminum fence flexes with enough force, and I’ve found that you need to periodically check for 90 with use. Even with an upgraded 12” jointer, this one still has a home

      Nice Machine

Very nice machine. I have run the machine for six months and the cut is the same as the first day. The only issue is the vacuum port size. I had to modify an adapter for a tight fit. Also, do not run without using the vacuum. The machine will clog quickly. If you plan on running smaller boards or space is an issue, this is the machine for you.

      rikon jointer

I have used this jointer twice since purchase. It seems to be a nice little machine. Not near as loud as I thought it wood be. I think it will greatly improve the quality of the glued up panels for my projects that I build. Strongly recommend for hobbyists.

      First Class

This is based on the same machine as the Porter-Cable benchtop jointer. The carbide-cutter head is the biggest difference. On hard, "chippy" wood, the difference is night and day. Difficult pieces that made the Porter-Cable shake, chatter, and dull blades, run right through with no more fuss than an electric razor. Obviously (I hope), don't buy a benchtop jointer if what you need is a big one. But if it suits your needs, this one is first class.

Great tool that works right out of the box

I have wanted a jointer as I make numerous panels to make fishing tackle boxes. I also make many cutting boards and a tight almost invisible glue line is needed. I assembled the jointer as per directions and the fence was exactly 90 degrees when measured by my engineers squares. The cut I use is very light taking if very little material usually repeated twice or three times. When the two pieces are pushed together the joint is completely flush. I am quite pleased. With a 2.5” to 4” adapter I get almost no chips as the cuts are made so no mess. I suggest if you don’t have one that you will love this purchase.
