Update to my review
I now have a replacement, to my surprise. I am very happy to get this and use this light again. I missed it when the original light had quit working. I use it mainly in the wood shop sharpening my tools and inspect the cutting edges of the plane irons, chisels and saw sharpening. I can mount it as needed for the best lighting and close up operations. Great Service by Woodcraft for the replacement. Thank You Very Much!

Was a good Light, BUT !
This was a nice light, it started to loose the LED lights when it is on 120v transformer. On battery use, the strobing stops but only 3 LEDs work. I like to know, who makes this light to get service? I would never spend another 50$ for another one. Made in China. I would get another one, for the price of 20$

Works OK but neck to short
The piece is well built & works well ... hard to position with the short neck . I bought it for my scroll saw but I have to keep moving it as it gets in the way of my work piece ..............

Very handy and worth the money!
Using this for our scroll saw and intarsia woodwork. Very helpful for fine detailing and sanding. Had to engineer ways to keep it secure but has been a great help!

I use the light on my scrollsaw, and it really works well. The magnifying lens helps for the small intricate cuts. Good product. For what I use it for, it could have a longer neck.

Great little-big light
I am a Ukrainian egg artist. This light is so handy to take to art shows as well as using in my studo. I bought it for travel. It is light weight and easy to pack. Having the option to plug it in or operate on battery is the greatest! I think anyone that works on small surfaces or in detail should have one of these light.

LED Shop Light
I got this for my wife to use for her bead work and for reading since her eyesight is failing due to MS. She likes the strong magnetic base that attaches to her bed frame and the gooseneck design that allows for an almost infinite range of settings. The 4X magnification is a plus, too, as it has eliminated the ned for her to wear bulky "jewelers " lenses the weight of which gave her a headache. Finally the LED light emit a more natural softer light that is less harsh on her eyes than the fluorescent light of her previous work light. About the only thing we would change would be to make the lens a little bigger in diameter, however we realize that the lights original intended purpose was to be used in shop setting and a bigger lens would be cumbersome. All-in-all this light is filling our needs. I would recommend it to a freind.

Helps me see the things I couldn't.
I use mine on the drill press and bandsaw mostly. At times I use it on the scroll saw and miter saw. The design, however, allows it to be used anywhere, as it has a metal clamp that gives a magnetic base anywhere you want it.

Good Lamp, needs longer neck
I use this for some wood working projects, but I thought it would be perfect on my fly tying bench. I wish the light was a little bit brighter, and that the neck was longer. I find that it gets in the way because I have to position the lamp close to tools/vises... A longer neck would give more adjustability and usefulness without getting in the way. 10 inches is just not enough. I love that it can run on batteries and that the base is compact and magnetic.

Handy Light
Easy to use right out of the box. I have one problem that I need to find a solution to. I own a Dewalt 20 inch scroll saw that has a arm lift assist attached to it. I tried mounting it on the scroll saw table but found it got in the way of cutting. The mounting clamp will not fit over the arm lift attachment. Although besides that the light illuminates the work more than sufficiently and the magnify glass enhances the pattern for easy visibility. I highly recommend this light for other scroll sawyers.

This is a great product overall
I use this particular light and magnifier on the band saw for cutting scrolls etc. It is a very well built light but the head appears to wonder when it is attatched to a surface horizontally. Verticle position appears to be ok.

Light for scroll saw
The light is nice and bright, the magnification is perfect. The only downside is that when you position the light where you want it, the gooseneck has a tendency to "drift" a little to one side or the other. Other than that, it's perfect. Good strong magnet, and the clamp feature is a nice option. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a little help with smaller details that older eyes have trouble with!

Very useful in my shop
I find this product to be very useful for reading my precision instruments and scales. I use it daily for reading a drill grinding scale so that I might grind a perfect point on drills that are used in our shop. An added bonus is that I also can use it for tying trout flies.
