Space saving size, but feature rich, the Rikon® Model 10-3061 Deluxe 10" Bandsaw is just what you need in a benchtop bandsaw. The powerful 1/2 HP motor coupled with a 5” high and 9-5/8” wide cutting capacity allows you can cut nearly anything. Two different blade speeds let you speed up or slow down the blade based on the material size and density. The model 10-3061 accepts blade widths from 1/8” to 1/2” allowing you to make intricate curves or simple straight cuts with ease. The patented tool-less guide system makes adjusting the guides for different blades or work pieces a snap. An easy sliding rip fence system holds your piece steady through straight cuts on the left or right side of the blade in either a vertical or horizontal position. The complete unit has a wide front guide rail with adjustable scale, sturdy cam-lock fence carrier with wide panel, and a 2-3/8” tall x 12-1/4” long aluminum fence extrusion. I've already created some great looking 1.25 inch wide by 3/32nd inch thick resawn Cedar 'siding' ye ha!

Yes, just purchased Today. Set up in about One hour (I've had a smaller Bandsaw before, and read Mark Duginske's New Complete Guide to Band Saws - carefully), and have already created some excellent, thin, re-sawn planks for my radio controlled motor boat hull. The boards are so nice I want to build some model railroad buildings or bridges etc. I just used the blade it came with, so far, and made sure everything was square and aligned with the blade. For My Very small shop & small-Hobby needs, this is so much better than I had before. Quite Pleased.

      Great tool for the price

For the price its pretty great. Powerful enough to resaw hardwood, and can throw on a smaller band and do some detail cutting. The only thing I dont like is the miter attachment is not a universal size but I don't really use it anyway. Took about 30 min to get square after reading instructions.

Not all that it’s hyped to be.

I think this saw is overpriced. I chose it over the WEN because I wanted to avoid spending hours getting it tuned up. That was a mistake. If you think you’re going to spend a bit extra here to avoid problems here then it’s the wrong saw for you. The guides are very finicky and don’t like adjustment, especially on bottom. You have to take the table top off to get a true adjustment on bottom and even then my bearings try to go cockeyed for some reason. After you get your alignment done you’re back to square one on your table settings. The fence is a travesty to be honest. Cheap plastic that won’t tighten unless you put a lot of torque on the locking mechanism which stresses it too much. It will break it’s just a matter of when. Why does every tool company insist on being so cheap now? I thought “deluxe” meant I would avoid problems. Now I just have more expensive problems.

      Arrived Damaged

This is a nifty little saw with a lot of features. However it was poorly packed and, judging from the box, also probably mishandled by UPS. The base is bent almost 3/8" up on one corner and about a 1/4" on the opposite corned. There's a little kink on the side of the flange near the bad bend so I'm gonna say it was mishandled rather than it had 'walked' during welding. Anyway, I found the tool-less guides to be convenient, kool but pretty fussy. The guide bearings/knobs themselves are fine...it's the upper and lower sub-assemblies that seem to not fit well on their perches. There's a lot of slop...and that makes tuning this saw a PITA. Also the motor runs really hot...I mean almost 'burn your hand' hot. Very strange indeed. And the motor could be smoother. My saw seems 'not quite there' and if it had been a better saw, I would have dealt with the damage but I'm gonna return it and probably upgrade to the 10-326. This one needs a little more time in the oven to get right. Maybe the 10-6062 has a better (meaning heavier) trunnion, guide assemblies, a slightly bigger table, better fence and a thicker base.

Good saw, but that miter gauge slot...

The band saw itself is fine, but the table's miter gauge slot is non-standard 5/8 x 1/4, and even those specs aren't accurate because they a fraction larger. That makes anything you find to fill them loose. The miter gauge that Rikon sells is worthless junk, so don't bother. Very disappointed.

      Nice but...

Nice, but the top rear blade guide is awkward to adjust, and the top side blade guides obscure the blade. Too bad as it would otherwise be a great saw for its size.

      Good Entry Level Bandsaw

The bandsaw is easy to put together and easy to operate. The cuts track well once you set the blade up correctly. Dust collection is good when used (1100cfm) and leaves minimal surface dust on the table. If you need to make cuts often on smaller pieces of wood, then get this bandsaw so that you can do it safely. If you’re intending to use the tilt function, then be sure to pick up a digital angle reader to ensure it’s set to the correct degree. Like all small bandsaw’s, there are limitations on what you can do, so set your expectations to match the tool’s skillset. Don’t expect this to resaw all your 8/4 to 4/4. This saw fits a niche that allows you to do general cuts with sharp angles and thins kerfs. Buy some thinner blades to allow you some scroll saw capabilities. I’ll still keep this bandsaw in my shop once I buy a 14”; it does what it’s capable of doing really well

      Rikon Band Saw

Great saw cuts good out of the box with minor adjustments. I do mostly small bowl blanks and other small items with it and so far has been as good or better then my old 14" rigid I sold this summer.

      An Impressive Piece of Equipment

I bought this band saw after using a similar model a friend of mine has. I knew it was a good band saw for its size, and especially when considering the price. Let me just say though, this saw has exceeded my expectations more than I ever thought it would. This is definitely a professional grade tool. I suppose when buying heavy, expensive equipment that must be shipped you are rolling the dice with regard to the condition it will arrive in. I am sure some luck played a part, but the packaging was nice, and the saw arrived in perfect condition (not that this would have been Woodcrafts or Rikons fault if it hadn't). All that said, if you are on the market for a quality, mid-sized band saw, I highly recommend this one!
