Senior Accountant

Woodcraft Supply, LLC is looking for a Senior Accountant with 1 – 3 years of senior level accounting experience. Senior accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles. The ideal candidate can adapt to work that requires frequent shifts in direction and has experience collaborating with and/or managing a team of accountants.

Responsibilities

  • Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve processes, efficiency, and spending
  • Work with accounting staff and other departments in problem solving and determining appropriate accounting
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Reconcile accounts payable, inventories, and various other accounts
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Research and implement accounting procedures for new accounting issues
  • Work with our CFO and Senior Accounting Manager to improve financial procedures

Skills

  • Strong technical and problem solving skills with database experience and report writing knowledge
  • Proficient with accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred)
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance

Social Media Coordinator

Woodcraft Supply, a retailer specializing in woodworking tools and supplies, is looking for an outgoing Social Media Coordinator to work in our Marketing Department. The Social Media Coordinator will take the reins of the Woodcraft social media accounts to build brand affinity in the woodworking community. The right candidate for this position will have a passion for social media and influencer marketing. Professional experience managing social media accounts for businesses or organizations, or a degree in a related field is preferred. This is an in-person position at our headquarters in West Virginia and may require occasional travel. If you are an aspiring influencer, have a passion for your favorite brands, or you’re a maker with an acumen for social media, we're looking for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Stay up to date with changes in social platforms
  • Track community preferences and trends
  • Create posts to sustain followers’ attention and build brand buzz
  • Facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to queries
  • Develop an optimal posting schedule
  • Work with our Marketing Team to create engaging text, image and video content aimed at the woodworking and maker community
  • Measure, monitor, and report on KPIs
  • Report on most effective posts and content
  • Report on feedback from customers and fans
  • Assist with posting of blog and article content to Woodcraft.com for Woodcraft Magazine
  • Suggest new ways to attract prospective customers and build channel followers

Requirements:

  • BS or Associates Degree in a Marketing, Communications, Media, Design, or a related field
  • Experience posting on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok for business or non-profit/social organization
  • Experience reporting KPIs using social channel insights tools or 3rd party applications
  • Experience with social advertising/boosting posts (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Must have good interpersonal skills
  • Creative writing

Preferred:

  • Photoshop experience a plus
  • Photo/Video experience a plus
  • Google Analytics Certification or experience a plus
  • Experience with apps such as Canva, Spark, Hootsuite, SEMRUSH a plus
  • An interest in woodworking, crafting or making is a plus
