Description: This is an introduction to Computer-Numeric-Control (CNC) routing. Participants will be introduced to the CNC process and workflow including: the mechanical setup of a CNC-based router system; how to create basic graphic or text vectors; use VCarve’s Tool Database; create, edit, and view the “tool paths”; and save those tool paths in the g-code used to control the CNC’s machining process. As time permits, the participants will be able to use the CNC system to create a small, basic sign. This class is recommended for anyone that is just starting with CNC routing or considering the purchase of a CNC system.
