does not work with Kreg router table !!!

An excellent product with the single MAJOR flaw that it does not work with a Kreg router table. The corner holes (that hold the screws that lock down the lift table once you've gotten it flush with the router table top) do not even come close to lining up with the corner inserts in the Kreg table and what's worse, the Woodcraft web site gives no hint that that is the case, so you can buy a Kreg table and the Jessem lift, both from Woodcraft and then have them arrive and find out that they won't work together. Their tech dept. is aware of this and they tell me there is an adapter that solves the problem and they are shipping it to me free. I assume that it will arrive and will work, but still, I should not have had to go through this.

    Wonderful router lift

Just installed this super nice lift in my table saw extension wing. I am completely impressed with the quality and smoothness of this product. Made in Canada, it is a precise mechanical instrument. The machining is of high quality. Highly recommended to buy.

    Good product but...

I like the router lift and it’s a good value but one important feature is lacking that I wasn’t aware of. You cannot zero out the scale. To me that is an important feature and I don’t think it would have been a premium feature.

Very well made, couldn't be more pleased with the product.

This is just one of those tools where every time I use it I say to myself why the heck didn't I buy one long ago. This thing is smooth as silk and rock solid. I am using a PC 690 and a Bosch 1617, I can swap routers as fast as I could change bits before I had the lift. If I had enough room in my shop I would buy a second one.

    package discrepancies

I love this lift but the contents inside are not what's listed on the outside. the package claims it comes with three inserts when it actually contains only one two inch insert. I contacted Jessem and they made it right with just proof of purchase. Received the other inserts within a week of first contact. Very pleased with their customer service. G/B

Lift II with Craftsman Router 950429

I purchased the Lift II hoping that my Craftsman 950429 would work with it. My router isn't listed on Jessem's site, nor here, as being compatible, but it did seem to have the correct diameter motor housing. Put the two together and lift fits around the router like a glove. Good deal! Now I need to put the pair to use!

    Jessem Router lift

Why did I wait so long to buy this? After years of struggling with height adjustments on my router table, I finally bought a lift and couldn't be happier with this one.

This is a sweet addition to the shop

I bought the JessEm Rout-r Lift II along with the Rout-R top and Mast-R Fence II. I couldn't be more pleased. The router lift works like a charm. It was easy to put in place with the table top. I have a dewalt 618 router and it paired nicely. Changing bits is so easy. The above table micro adjustment is so easay to use.I actually enjoy using the router again!

    What a joy to use!

I bought this lift for my PC 690 a few months ago. I also bought the template to do the cut out. Made for very easy installation in my home made table. This last weekend I had the motor in and out of the table twice as my son in law and I worked on my basement remodel. We started the morning off by doing dovetails in the PC 4212 Dovetail jig, then moved the router to the table to put a roundover on the back molding for the built in desk we are making. Then pulled it to do some free hand work on the ends of the bathroom cabinet that we replaced the rotted end panel on. And back into the table for a dado and rabbet on the new panels. Putting the motor into the lift is fast and easy! And setting the height of the bit is fast and accurate. I'm super happy I got this lift!

    Best buy without doubt

I've been struggling with router tables for years (even built three of my own). I finally gave in and bought the JessEm Rout-R-Lift II Router Lift and am still wondering why I waited. Easy to install, I made my own template and fit the lift into an existing (commercial) router table top. The lift is VERY precise and very easy to use. The lock mechanism gives me a lot of confidence in each cut. Highly recommend this unit to any woodworker using a router table.

    Worth every penny

This thing rocks! I'm using it in my shop-built router table with a Porter Cable 691 router motor, but it will fit just about any 3-1/2" motor. Adjustment is smooth and accurate. One turn of the handle is exactly 1/16" which makes setting depth of cut trivial. Above the table bit changes are easy, just raise the lift all the way up. You don't need any special bent wrenches. Installing it was simple too, as Woodcraft also sells MDF templates for routing the cutout in the table top. All around a great product.

    Just say YessEm to JessEm!

I just finished making a routertable extention on my tablesaw. I still have to make an extention fence to use the router but I have installed the router in the lift and it adjusts up and down very smoothly. Being a machinist I can say this is a very well made piece and worth the price. I see the other models and couldnt justify the extra $$ unless it was used full time as a business. Look forward to using it.

I should have done this years ago

this is the best tool I have ever bougth. It saves so much time and with a bigger router table the safety factor is so much better. I have cut donw on the amount of time it takes to mesure each depth movement by just using the crank handle and watching the gauge. Every workshop should have one of these.

    Jessem Quality Lift

I have been using a home made router table for about 8 years now and have always had problems with changing bits and adjusting height. I am not a pro woodworker, but the overall quality of this lift is fantistic. I ordered the lift at my local woodcraft store. They haven't seen one because it was so new. When we opened the box at the store, they were as impressed as I was as to how well this lift was made. The workmanship and material it is made of looks to be top quality. The plate is supported by 2 alloy braces so I really don't know how the plate could ever sag. My router is a Bosch 1617 and it fit perfectly in the clamp. This lift is not made for the larger routers, but for what I will be using it for it will be great. If you have a 3 1/5 hp router, get one with the alloy plate. Will it hold up under very heavy use? I don't know, but if it works as good as it looks I think I will be very happy. Thanks Jessem for another fine quality product! Now all I have to do is build a new table for the lift or buy a new table. I guess now I have to go back to Woodcraft to look at new tables.
