    Handle

Just a comment, and I have no company confirmation on this. The handles are likely left unfinished on purpose, not do to poor quality control or workmanship. Pfeil carving tools have handles with raw wood because many, if not most, carvers prefer the grip in that condition. I imagine they leave these handles the same way as the majority of their products are preferred that way. you can always sand or finish them yourself, and I likely will on this marking knife although I don't on carving tools.

    Good steel, poor wood

The K720 steel blade is very good, but the round Bubinga handle not looks like real Bubinga, but a cheaper wood. Handle finishing is poor too.

    Very average quality

Not worth the money. Better off just using a utility knife.

Better than solid metal marking knives

Can use left or right handed. Metal knives are hard for me to hold and use. This knife solved that problem. Wooden handle on knife I received was not too rough - has just the right grip.

    I expected better

A knife is a knife etc.etc. Pretty hard to screw up. This version will work from either direction. which is handy. The handle was very poorly finished. It was very rough and appeared to never have come in contact with sandpaper. Either poor quality control or lousy workmanship. I sanded the handle and applied a coat of shellac. It now looks like a "finished" tool.

    I Like It!

I love the fact its ambidextrous. It marks accurately and feels great in the hand.
