Details

A totally unique, quick drying, water based grain filler and wood putty accepts stain beautifully or can be tinted. Never goes bad Easy to apply and clean up No shrinking, cracking or falling out. Does not become permanent until you apply a finish. If you're ever unhappy with the way it looks, the color, etc. – just water it down and remove it. If it freezes, simply put it in the microwave to warm it up or if it dries out, just stir in water. This allows for zero waste! This might just be the perfect wood filler. Manufacturer recommends using only stainless steel or plastic tools to apply because Timbermate may react with low grade steels and turn black. If this happens, simply add water and remove it, or wait for it to dry and sand it off.
  • Easy preparation
  • Timbermate is versatile and may be used for all interior repairs, including repairing edges.
  • Fast drying
  • When you’re done with your repair, scoop it up and put it back in the bucket.
  • Timbermate protects wood and doesn’t harm it.

Excellent Easy to Use Perfect Results

This is a great product and I give it five stars. Two other reviews gave it one because they say it won't take a stain or color, they used the wrong product for stain. If you are staining or color matching you need to use the "Natural", it can be easily stained any color you want. I used the Natural to grain fill a restoration mahogany 1964 Gibson headstock refinish. It filled the grain and filled steamed out tuner washer dents. It dried white color and took a mahogany stain very nicely and it all matched perfectly. Excellent professional level results, product is easy to use and very little or no waste. I am now using the white to fill the grain after dying a mahogany telecaster body black to get a doghair finish also known as ceruse finish. Turning out excellent.

    Leave it down Under

This product will not take a oil stain nor a dye. If your filling nail hole and painting over great. If your making something special and want to patch a crack, dent or something else you cannot stain it and hide it. Used it on a miter on a jewelry box lid. Had to toss it out could not cover the white.

    Leave it down under

Woodcraft should have left this product down under. It will not accept a stain. It does dry well and sands good but will not take stain. I tried to pre-mix it with stain before I used it ,could only get grey color. I tried to use it as a grain filler ended up with a white haze that won't go away. I used it to fill cracks and could not get it to take a stain.
