First Time Turning A Wall Street II, Only One Negative Noted

I am new to turning and I have mostly done slim pens and pencils. I was not in love with the "fatter" pens until now! One day we took a road trip (a couple hours) to find our nearest Woodcraft store. I saw a display of the Wall Street II pen and I was really attracted to the look of the pen even though the size of it was bigger than what I normally like. So, I bought one kit to try it out. It was so very easy to put together, I was really shocked by that! Wish I could share a picture, it came out so pretty! The pen has a nice weight to it and it feels balanced in my hand. The ink refill it came with wrote very smooth. I was hooked on this pen kit! The only negative about it is the refill stopped writing after only a few days. I hate that I have to go buy a new refill for it already. I did not knock off a star for that because I could buy a new one for it, but I did expect it to last longer than that. Despite that, I have already bought more Wall Street II kits!! I plan on including an additional refill with them just in case it happens again!

Great kit, even for a beginner

I just turned my first 2 pen blanks today, both for Wall Street II kits. I was kind of nervous jumping straight into it, but after watching a few youtube videos on turning, I took the leap. The assembly was very simple. I was actually able to assemble them by hand, without the use of a press. I have already received several compliments on both pens.

    Beautiful pen, Great value

I have built about a dozen of these pens. They are all beautiful and easy to assemble. I am new to turning and these pens make me look seasoned. They look great made with wood or acrylics. Many finishes to choose from, pick several and enjoy.

    Nice pen, poor cartridge

As kit pens go this one is easy to make (just one wood turning). It produces a heavy pen that feels solid. At first I thought it was too heavy but that's probably because I'm so used to cheap plastic pens. After a few days it felt great and the cheap plastic pens felt, well...cheap. My only criticism is the cartridge that comes with the pen is junk. It skips on clean paper. Once I replaced it with a quality Parker refill, I've been very happy with the pen. In fairness to everyone, the refill cost about half of what the whole kit cost so it isn't like your actually paying for a good cartridge to start with. Over all, nice pen.

Very simple project for a beginner

This was my first attempt at turning pens. I was very surprised how easy it was to make. I wish I would have bought more pen kits when I was at Woodcraft. I made the pen blanks myself and I was finished with both kits in about an hour. I would recommend purchasing the "Colt" bit for this project. The standard brad tip type bit would squeal and bind when I was about halfway through the blank.

    Great Pen

I bought these kits for my Christmas Party at work. I made each pen with a pen blank that matched there likes...They all loved the pens and were amazed on how well the pen works. I have bought Wall Street II since then...

    Faulty Pens

I have had several of these come apart in the manufactured nib of the pen. That's not good when I sold the pen!

    Ageless Classic Design Pen

This type of pen is a timeless classic design. The turner saves a significant amount of blank material in fabrication, and this substantial cut-off can be applied with one more to make a completely separate two-piece pen. Its slightly shorter length and lighter weight make it an ideal pen for purses or handbags.

    Wall St II

This is a very good pen for a beginner to make. It only requires one tube to be turned. It is very easy to assemble. I have made hundreds of pens and this is probably the easiest and most profitable.

review ease of useing pen kits.

I give most of my pens as gifts. I just gave about 30 to the servers and their helpers at our favorite restaurant and was very pleased at their joy. I have not given the pens I got from you to anyone yet but plan to in the near future. I made all five and have not decided which one I want for my own use.

    Great product, turned out beautiful

I was really pleased with the product. It was a pleasure to turn and it makes a great finished product. I purchased 5 kits (3 gold and 2 stainless steel) and they all look great. I'm sure at the next craft show they will be a hit if I don't give them away to family sooner.

Makes a very attractive pen. Good value, especially at the sale price. Assembles easily, has a quality look to it.

    Nice product

Very easy to turn. Can be completed in short amount of time. The only complaint I have is that some of the tubes seemed slightly too large in diameter, and the parts that are to be pressed together seem to fit a little too loose, and could potentially come apart. The end product is very attractive; everyone who has seen these pens love them.
